What Causes Yellowish Scab And Pain On The Knee Post Injury?
I scraped my knee in PT on Friday they put some old look like 1950 Band-Aids on it they didn t stick so they used. Masking tape to hold it on there until I got to school got to the school at Walnut Grove I went to the school nurse all she did was clean it up with some antibacterial soap to stick some new Band-Aids on there but the rest of day was fine I actually bled through the Band-Aid and got blood on my pants and after I got home I pulled bandage off instead of it being a normal red scab like I m used. To it was a yellow scab is not really hard either is kind of squishy andI just cleaned it up with more peroxide and salt water and I pretty much had to grit my teeth and keep from screaming while I was. Cleaning it up wiped off the peroxide now but I can barely move my knee what s going on I ve never seen a scab like this
If you experience one or some of these symptoms, there's a chance the scab is infected. In some cases, yellow scabbing can be a sign of impetigo, which is usually caused by staph or strep bacterial infection.
