Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Could MRI Report Showing Subligamentous Disc Extrusion Mean?
Sir my recent MRI report shows L5-S2 intervertebral disc shows posterior subligamentous disc extrusion individualising moderate degree of compression noted on the ventral thecal sac on the bilateral existing nerve roots with lateral recess compromise (spinal canal AP dimension of 0.63 cm)
The relevant part is not what MRI says, but what problems you have and why did you get MRI. This report has to be co-related to your clinical picture. Consult your doctor for examination and treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Gopal Goel, Orthopaedic Surgeon
