What Could Abdominal Distention With Pain, Nausea And Dizziness With History Of Hydronephrosis And Swollen Colon Indicate?
Hello, I am 40 years old. I have had some abdominal distention for a couple weeks and now pain in RUQ with nausea and dizziness. I do have a history of hydronephrosis, U/A on last Thursday was negative. In 2002, I also had swelling of my transverse colon with no know cause. ????
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Distension with nausea, dizziness and upper right quadrant pain with history of hydronephrosis and colitis in past can be due to the following reasons: This can be recurrence of colitis Cholecystitis. Gastritis. I would advise you the following in such a situation. X-ray of the abdomen in standing position gives clue whether a particular part of intestine is affected. Tests of stool, blood and urine. Ultrasonography of the whole abdomen. Clinical evaluation by your Doctor and second opinion of a General Surgeon ifedical management fails. Once diagnosed the treatment will be as per the cause found.
