What Could Acid Reflux Like Pain In Stomach Radiating To Back Indicate?

Occasionally I have what I call an acid attack. There is no set time or reason for this. It starts in my stomach and permeates up my back. Terrible pain for up to an hour. Sometimes I can eat something soon enough to thwart it off. Other times no. I am on nexioum and Another prescribed acid blocker at this time. I have no gall bladder and have had radiation due to surgery to remove an abdominal sarcoma 23 years ago. I am also on gabapentin. Have had many endoscopes and some pollups removed. Any suggestions?

Welcome to HCM. Sorry about the stomach woes. Listening to your presentation I suspect that you have peptic ulcer disease. You are on anti-acids and have had scopes so I am hoping that this is not the case then, the only other 2 things that could cause this pain radiating to the back are pancreatitis and Abdominal aneurysm (depending on your age and if you smoked/or have arterial disease). I hope this helps. Good luck
