What Could Be A Black Round Dark Area On The Right Side Of The Uterus?

Hi doctor, I have three children the last one in 14 months old I didn t have my period so I did home pregnancy test and a had pink line which is mean I am pregnant so I visit the doctor and she do ultrasound but no fetus and she found a round dark area on my right side of uterus where I was feel pain for 3days. She said it s maybe ectopic pregnancy so she gave 2days to examine me again but this time she found a very tinny white thing she said its May be the fetus and the black thing still there. My last period was at 22nd of January 2014 I did a blood test for the HCG on 2nd of Mars it was 468 ml and I repeat it on 4th of Mars and I got 1284 ml. so why the fetus is so small? And what is that black thing? what it is mean? Note: the black thing is 2cm from side to side. Thanks

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. Your urine pregnancy test and the blood test confirm that you are pregnant presuming that you are not on any external hCG intake. I will be able to comment better if you can upload the sonogram reports. The black spot could be a hemorrhage. The sonogram should be done through the trans-vaginal route by an experienced sonographer using high resolution. In a missed pregnancy, there is an arrest of the fetal growth and hence the fetus appears tiny. Follow up sonograms can give a clarity on the diagnosis. Please consult a specialist for proper management. Take care.
