General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to health care magic.
The most common cause of a lump in the left side of neck is an enlarged lymph node.
It is indicative of infections in the surrounding areas probably in throat or oral cavity.
Other possibilities are tuberculosis lymphademitis, abscess or an infected cyst. My advice is to visit a Surgeon and let him have a look at your symptoms.
He will take an FNAC from the lesion and an ultrasound. From that we can deduce the exact etiology of the mass and can treat accordingly.

Hope this discussion will be helpful to you. Thank you.
