What Could Be Causing Sore And Itchy Scabs Inside My Nostrils?
My right side inside my nostrils ive got scabs ans its sore and itchy like thrush. I cant even squeese my nose its painful. Going on fir a year now and doctor kerps giving me nasal cream which isnt helping. Its coming and going. Whats causing this? Please help
Hi and thanks for the query, Looks like you are suffering from repeated attacks of vestibulitis. Recurrent attacks are common in diabetics. You need to get your sugars checked. Also get a swab of the inside of the nose for culture and sensitivity test to detect the exact bacteria and the most appropriate antibiotic. Along with oral antibiotic you may also require a local antibiotic cream for an extended period of time to eliminate the bacteria completely. Do not pick your nose as it may lead to or exacerbate an already existing infection. See your doctor, regards, Dr Kishori.
