What Could Be Causing The Pain Under The Right Rib Which Is Severe?

I was diagnosed with a splenic anryersum (sp) I am 53, in good health, but have had this pain under my right rib cage for approx 8-10 weeks. They say it was found on a ct scan 7 years ago before I had my uterus removed, but it was large enough to mention( how polite of them) I have an appt in 2 weeks with a vascular surgeon, what questions should I ask?

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
You said that you have splenic aneurysm, and you have right side rib pain this means these two conditions are different, but your main concern would be rib pain, so this could be due to the poor posture and this will respond to NSAID, now for the Aneurysm, you can ask the doctor, that is it necessary to remove it ? and if not removed then what would be likely out come ? how much risk is there if go for surgery ? how will be the post surgical events ? these are the question you can ask the doctor, take care and have good day.
