i feel a pinching burning on my right leg and it only last a few seconds . but it startles me. wha could it be. it alomst feels like a sting of some sorts but i wsnt stung. it continues periodically. it seems like theres a rsh now but not sure if its because everttime it does it i rub it. what could it be
Such transient stinging sensations are usually due to 'pinching' of the concerned nerve, most commonly in the lower back region due to disc herniation.
Occasionally, it may be due to Vitamin B12 deficiency, though there should be more nerves involved in the body.
A CT/MRI of lower spine will rule out/detect disc herniation, collapse of a vertebra or narrowing of spinal canal.
Consult your doctor and apprise him of my opinion. I am certain that he will agree with me, order required tests, and- based on the reports- will prescribe suitable/modified treatment as advised.
If you find my response helpful and informative, do not forget an “excellent” (5-star rating) to my answer, to ENCOURAGE ALL doctors- engaged in social service- to render sound advice to the FREE queries.
