What Could Be Reason For The Cervix Being In One Corner And What Measures Can Be Taken ?

Hi, I went to have a mirena fitted a couple days ago, but it could not be done as although the Doctor could feel my cervix , she couldn t see it as it seems to be around a corner! She did a pregnancy test to make sure that a baby wasn t the obstruction but now I m being referred to hosptial to check it out, and I can t seem to find any info on what the problem could be. Any ideas?

Hi;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
There is one question did you have a baby before & was it by LSCS .If it is like you delivered a baby by CS or if you did not get pregnant then in such cases the cervix of a female is very small & difficult to get through.So the problem will be mostly as i feel a cervical stenosis;which is causing difficulty in inserting the coil.
I guess that is the reason why they took you to a hospital so the doctor can perform dilatation & then the coil can be fitted.
Hope this answer is helpful to you.
Thanks
