What Could Be The Black Spot On The Uterus Along With The Foetus?

Anyone pregnant and had a ultrasound done and was told there is a grey or black spot on or in uterus? I will be 12 weeks on Sunday and had a ultrasound done today, Ultrasound Tech said she saw a spot in/on uterus. We could see baby in it's sac but also the spot. What could it be?

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this reported black spot. This is not a typical finding in ultrasounds during pregnancy. Because this was said by a technician, I will like you to follow up and get this exam repeated by a radiologist for confirmation of findings. This test is better placed at deciphering what this black dot or spot represents if it is for real present than any other one who hasn't seen it. I strongly think this would turn not to be anything to get bothered by.

I hope this helps and guides enough. I wish you well.
