good morning i m 19weeks pregnant of my first child and i did a scan yesterday saying foetus active in longitudinal lie, unsatble cephalic presentation. can you pls explain what that last words means? unstable cephalic presentation. though the result shows that the foetus s head is pointed towards the uterus.
Unstable cephalic presentation means head of fetus is towards maternal pelvis and fetus position is not fixed.Fetus is changing its position constantly. It is normal finding in early pregnancy due to ample liquor and small size of fetus. Most common presentation of fetus in uterus is cephalic. So,you have absolutely normal findings.
Hope i have answered your query. Take Care Dr.Indu Bhushan
