What Could Be The Cause Of Pain And Stiffness In The Finger Joints?

Hello, it started 8 weeks ago, when sleeping I was unable to close my fingers like a fist....I would then sleep with my hands closed in a fist, then 4 weeks ago the opposite happened uncle to close my fingers so started sleeping with fingers and hand flat....finger joints in both hands extremely painful more so in the late evening, during night and upon wakening...my thumb locks like a trigger thumb and have pain on the side of the thumb, but all joints in all fingers both hands are painful and its difficult to do normal daily tasks due to stiffness and pain and I feel joint moving in two fingers....my toes feel like they starting now.
