What Could Be The Dark Colored, Red Scabs On Body Which Is Spreading?
Hello It all started off as small breakouts around my chest and on my stomach. After taking pills and using hydro-cortisone it went away but is now dried skin. Next thing you know I start to get random darkish red scabs on my body. They are slowly spreading. What could this be?
I read your query and understood your concern. It'd be difficult to make a diagnosis without getting the clear picture, but from your description it sounds like you have pityriasis rosea / nunmular eczema usually occurring over dry skin.
Pityriasis rosea is a self limiting condition and will resolve itself in 6-8 weeks. You may apply topical hydrocortisone to relieve the inflammation and itching. Apply moisturizer over the area while it is still damp.
For nunmular eczema too, same treatment protocol will follow, topical hydrocortisone and moisturizing.

Hello and welcome to HCM, I read your query and understood your concern. It d be difficult to make a diagnosis without getting the clear picture, but from your description it sounds like you have pityriasis rosea / nunmular eczema usually occurring over dry skin. Pityriasis rosea is a self limiting condition and will resolve itself in 6-8 weeks. You may apply topical hydrocortisone to relieve the inflammation and itching.
