What Could Be The Large Area Of Edema On Thigh With Swelling?

I just noticed a large area of edema on my upper thigh in the past couple of weeks. Doesn t hurt but have the feeling of swelling in that area. It s only on one side about the size of a grapefruit in circumference. Just slightly warm to touch. Any suggestions of what it could be.

From your description,it seems like a soft tissue infection,and can be treated with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs for 5-7 days.If it does not come down,it may need incision and drainage.Your doctor will guide you after a direct examination.
