Otolaryngologist / ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi Howlett,

Welcome to HealthcareMagic Forum
This condition is called eustachian tube dysfunction, Eustachian tube is a tube connecting the nose with the ear. This gets affected during cold, sinusitis, weight loss, etc. Please get yourself examined by a good ENT specialist. Also, you might require a tympanometry to find out the middle ear condition, which will be advised by your doctor. Till then do steam inhalation and drink plenty of warm water.
Take care
