What Could Be The Problem Having Sharp Pain And Burning Sensation Under Breast And Pregnant?
I think I might be tearing my muscle in my upper stomach. I am 26 weeks pregnant and have had no issues the baby is doing great. I started having sharp pain and a burning sensation right under my breast in the very center of my chest. I thought it was due to stretching but now I'm thinking I may have torn the muscle. I just want to dull the pain. Can I use a hot compress on that area or what can I do?
Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist (DM).
It appears to be acid peptic disease which is very common in pregnancy. For this take a proton pump inhibitor like rabeprazole which is safe in pregnancy. However I will still advise you to get ultrasound abdomen to see for Gallbladder stone which is also common in pregnancy
I hope I have answered your query and this will help you. If you have any further query I will be happy to answer that too. Remain in touch and get-well soon.
