Today I just noticed a row of four purplish spots on my inner arm. Two of them have spots in the middle as though they could have bled at one time. I don't think anything happened to cause them because I was surprised when saw them. I am a 74-year-old female in fairly good health.
Seems to be a case of Senile purpura which can happen in old age because of weakening of the walls of narrow capillaries. As a result of this weakening of capillary walls they can easily breakdown even with the slightest trauma e.g of scratching.
Daily oral intake of Vit C is all that is recommended.
take care regards
