What Could Be The Reason For A 12 Year Old Child Having Occasional Blood In Stool?

My 12yr old daugher has occasional blood in her stool. I've taken her in & was told nothing to worry about. No hemroids or anything like that. She had light red blood in her stool tonight & kind of stringy blood in the toilet. Any idea what that could be?

Hi,
Thanks and welcome to HCM.
If blood is present in the stools you have to exclude Rectal polyp, meckel's diverticula and anal fissure.
Better consult surgeon to rule out the above possibilities.
Hope this answer serves your purpose.
I shall be happy to answer more queries.
