What Could Be The Reason For A Purple Spot In The Left Tonsil?
Hi. For past two days ive been very run down. Today being the worst. Freezing cold one minute. Sweating the next. My whole body is hurting. Stingy eyes. Not really interested in eating as my throat is so sore and its agony swallowing. I had tonsillitis in 2012 so I went to check in the mirror for signs of tonsillitis again but instead I see a purple spot/blister thing in my left tonsil. What could this be? And may it be related to me being unwell? Kirsty.
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. It appears that you are having pharyngitis, may be due to the strep throat, or other bacteria. I advise you to consult an E.N.T. surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have a culture and sensitivity of the throat swab, for diagnosis and treatment. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms erythromycin, phenylephrine, citrizine, and paracetamol. Avoid taking fruits, juices, ice water, ice cream , and chill weather till the symptoms are cleared. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
