What Could Be The Reason For Black Rings In Nipples?
hi im 24 years old and have pcos. my partner and I have been trying to fall for over 2 years now. the last 2 weeks I have been feeling a bit off and about a week ago I found I have a slightly dark ring around both nipples which I have never had before I am not due for my period for 6 days. I have taken a test and it didn't read positive or negative. i have had cramps every day like my period is coming but it hasn't. could there be any other reason my nipples are changing ??

The possible causes of darkness of the areola around the nipples in your case are:
- Premenstrual phase: In premenstrual phase sometimes darkening of areola can be seen due to the effect of hormones. Abdominal cramps and feeling of sickness can also seen as part of premenstrual syndrome.
-Hormonal pills: If you have used hormonal pills for PCOS, that can also be one cause for darkening of areola.
- Pregnancy: Feeling of sickness and mild cramps can be seen in early pregnancy. Usually urine pregnancy test kit can give accurate result around the expected date of periods. So if do not get the periods as expected please repeat the test after 6 days.
