What Could Be The Reason For Bleeding In Breast While Feeding The Partner Considering Breasts Are Dry, Sore?
I I am in an adult nursing relationship and I am new at it I have breastfeed in the past one of my children which is now grown the question I have is my right breast as i was pumping was bleedin as i was pumping is this normal and what to do to remidie the problem. my right nipple has been dry and a little sore but no redness or pain. I was wondering do i need to get some nipple cream and if I can contuine to feed my partner off that breast.
If your nipple/areola complex is dry and now bleeding, then you need to visit a doctor for a physical examination. This part of the breast is very sensitive and can easily get infected. So proper breast care will be required and an antibiotic will also have to be initiated as prophylaxis.
You may write to me using the premium service wherein you can post images of the affected region so I can further help you, or visit a doctor for the same. In the meantime, please do not continue using the breast pump, request your partner not to make contact with the affected region, keep the area clean and wear loose comfortable clothing. If possible, try to purchase an over the counter tooical antibiotic.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
