What Could Be The Reason For Blood And Black Piece Of Tissue In Urine With History Of Massive Heart Attack?

today, when urinating, a few times i have some blood during the stream and a few drops of blood afterwards. just now, a black piece of tissue, about half the size of an eraser on a pencil appeared. i am 81, 6'. 178 with congestive heart disease and take Coumadin due to a massive heart attack 11.15.2013. my INR level is at 2.1. what could be causing this health issue? thanks!

Hi,

From the medical history of yours, it is related to possible:
- urinary tract infection
- bleeding from your genitalia

Coumadin increases the chances for bleeding; while the INR level of 2.1 is within the therapeutic levels; however, your cardiologist is the one who will set your goals. Generally, INR range should be within 2.5 to 3.5

I strongly suggest to run further tests to determine the reason of bleeding to start the right treatment orally and locally.
