What Could Be The Reason For Constant Fever In 10 Months Old Baby?

dear sir, my son of 10 months having fever of 99+ 100+, we did the blood analyses in which we found malaria negative, but in HEMotology test. white globules 11.42 , hemoglobin 10.2, hematocrite 29.7, VGM 72.09 and TCMH 24.76, apart from these ,all results were normal, the local doctor has prescribed us to give alternatively aspegic and efferalgan syrop, and later as the fever didn't reduced he added camoquin bcz he said it could be malaria, even if the malaria is not showing in reports. last whole night he was suffering with fever, and with medicines it didnt calmed. please advice

Hi...Thank you for consulting in Health Care magic. You never mentioned anything about - how many days of fever but still - Fever of few days without any localizing signs could as well a viral illness. Usually rather than fever, what is more important is the activity of the child, in between 2 fever episodes on the same day. If she is active and playing around when there is no fever, it is probably and it doesn't require antibiotics at all. Once viral fever comes it will there for 4-7 days. So do not worry about duration if the kid is active. You can treat fever with Paracetamol at 15mg/kg/dose every 4-6th hourly if fever is > 100F. Hope my answer was helpful for you. I am happy to help any time. Further clarifications and consultations on Health care magic are welcome. If you do not have any clarifications, you can close the discussion and rate the answer. Wish your kid good health.
