What Could Be The Reason For Darker Skin After Using AHA Glow Face Wash And Aziderm Cream For Dark Spots On Face?

Hi , i am 23. recently affected by acne. and consulted dermatologist at intial stage of acne. now acne got cured and dried. but acne scars are in brown color and visible on the face. as per his advice, now i am using AHA glow face wash at morning and La shield sun screen at morning before leaving out. at night using sebamed clear face cleansing bar. and before going to bed applying azidern 20% cream on the dark spots. started this process three weeks before. but now my skin is getting dark than before. i didnt find any improvement and my face is dull not bright as before. please help me out

Hi,

I can understand your concern for darker skin after using AHA glow face wash and Aziderm cream for dark spots on face.

The treatment given to you is quite good. The type of problem you encountered can be due to over application of the cream or face wash which can irritate the skin. Even some time when there is more exposure to sunlight then also it can cause more tanning and resultant pigmentation.

I suggest you to use the cream in mildest possible amount and at night time only. I further suggest you to use proper sun protection. Use a good sunscreen daily for 2-3 times with best sun protection.You can continue to use Azelaic acid or Kojic acid creams as these can be used for a long period without any side effects.
