What Could Be The Reason For Delayed Period Along With Dull Pain In Pelvis With Negative Pregnancy Test?

Hello,

I am a 28 yr old female and my menses is 3 days late. I have taken two pregnancy tests and both were negative. My cycles are 26-27 days in length and I have never missed a period. I am also having dull pain on the left side of my pelvis but no other symptoms. No breast tenderness, fatigue, nausea, or vomiting. What should I do?

There are many reasons why your period could be delayed other than pregnancy. significant life stressors such as marriage, divorce, a new job or losing a job and other things have all been known to cause a delayed period. A significant illness or surgery can also cause it. Usually, you only need to wait a little linger and your periods will return. However, if another week or so goes by and you still don't have a period, you should repeat the pregnancy test. It is also possible that you are pregnant but it was too early for the test to detect it.
