What Could Be The Reason For Delayed Periods Having The Pregnancy Test Negative?

my last peroid date was 4 oct,now till date my period is not started, i am married,my age was 32 yrs,i have one child.my period is regular.this is the first time happen,urin test was negative. now what is resonfor delay peroid ,i was so much worried, pl help me

Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Delay in periods can occur due to many causes.
Like hormonal imbalance as in poly cystic ovary disease, due to stress and strain, weight changes etc.
General causes like anemia, thyroid abnormalities etc can also affect the periods.
And also urine pregnancy test kit may not detect early pregnancy sometimes.
If you had unprotected intercourse around the time of ovulation, there is possibility of pregnancy.
So, wait for one more week.
If you do not get periods by that time, repeat the pregnancy test.
If test comes negative, consult gynecologist once, get evaluated to find out the cause for delayed periods.
And take tablets to induce withdrawal bleeding with her advice.
