What Could Be The Reason For Having Bleeding And Cramping During My Pregnancy Period?

Hello Doctor,



I am 7 weeks pregnant and currently bleeding. I have done an echography yesterday and today which confirmed that my pregancy is intact. My doctor prescribed Utrogestan 200 which I used virginally this afternoon. I'm currently having serious cramp after taking it and the bleeding continues. Am I loosing it. Please I need urgent help.

Dear member,
Thanks for writing.
You are having threatened abortion. There is fetal heart but either the embryo is not viable because if which you are losing it in which cawe nothing can help.
Sometimes the fetus can be healthy but there is decreased hormone support to the embryo.
The medication you are receiving is progesterone and it helps.
Despite the medications if you are still cramping then you can switch to injectable progesterone.
