What Could Be The Reason For Having Cold From The Knee Down To Leg?
Hi,
I was seen in the ER last night for a torn right calf muscle. I have been icing it and elevating and wrapping it with an ACE bandage. But ever since returning home last night my leg, from the knee down, has been cold to the touch. My pain has definitely subsided since the initial pop, but not sure what to do about the coldness. I have no tingling or numbness. What could this be?

Hi,
Due to blunt injury there can be hematoma collection .The bleeding that occurs result in hematoma collection. Over a period of time, as hematoma resolves it cause local skin symptoms around the hematoma.
Continue ice application,and thrombhophobe ointment may help.
