What Could Be The Reason For Having Cough And Pain From Rib Cage To Middle Of My Back?

I have had a cough for the past 3 days - 4 days I do have osteoarthritist, however I now have this really bad pain starting from the right middle bottom of rib cage which travels right round to middle of my back on the right side. I also have pain in my lower back just above the buttock on the right side. The pain is alot worse when I cough. At times it feels like the muscles tighten (like a severe cramp) around the bottom of the rib cage. Have you any ideas what could be causing this.

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having viral infection giving rise generalized body ache, malaise, fatigue.
Due to having osteoarthritis you feel more pain and stiffness.
Take NSAID medicine for pain.
Take some decongestant medicine as well.
Ok and take care.
