What Could Be The Reason For Jelly Like Blobs Coming From Vagina While On Birth Control Pill?
Over the past couple days I've noticed large, very clear in color, thick, jelly-like blobs come out of my vagina. I'm 27 years old... Have not been on the pill for about a year; this is only the second time I've noticed this... I believe it happened last month as well... What does this mean? It literally comes out in isolated lumps; not an overall general wetness or discharge.
Hi, Thanks for the query. The possible causes for jelly like vaginal discharge are : -Hormonal contraceptives can alter the cervical mucus and can make it thicker. So,that it will become difficult for the sperm to asend. That thickened mucus can come out as jelly like sometimes. -During normal menstrual cycle also, the vaginal discharge can alter depending on the hormonal influence. - If discharge is associated with symptoms like itching, smell etc, there is possibility of infection. So, if you are having symptoms of infection, once get examined. If not no need to worry. Take care.
