What Could Be The Reason For Lack Of Periods For Over Two Weeks Despite Completing A Course Of Meprate?
Hi, i didn’t get my periods since 3 months so my doctor suggested me to take meprate 10 to get my periods.. it’s been 15 days since I stopped the tablet I haven’t got my periods yet. I am really worried! Can you please tel me what could be the reason?
If you did not get your periods 2 weeks after taking Meprate for withdrawal bleed then you probably need to get evaluated .To get withdrawal bleeding you need the endometrium to be of a minimum thickness (at least 7 mm).
You can do the following tests for evaluation: - Beta HCH to rule out pregnancy - TSH and prolactin level in blood - Ultrasound pelvis - AMH level in blood
If the above investigations are normal then you need not worry. You can start on combined oral pills (if you do not have any contraindication) after meeting your healthcare provider so that ideal pill can be suggested to you based on your health history.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
