hi i have been having on and off nausea for the past two months. i have no pain or vomiting. i have researched things such as peptic ulcers,heartburn. ibs, and anthing else and i don't match up with the symptoms. i had blood work done which showed nothing wrong. All i have is bad nausea. its not from foods or lack o sleep and i drink enough water. my doc gave me zofran but i dont like the side effects.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. I would come up with these possibilities for this type of nausea , these includes. 1 The first possibility is of peptic ulcer disease or hiatus hernia . Diagnosis can be confirmed upper G I endoscopy .Try raising the head of your bed about 4 inches with blocks. Also avoid drinking or eating for 2 hours before you lie down. Avoid greasy or spicy foods . Also take some antacid but if symptoms are severe you may need drugs like proton pump inhibitors. 2 Tension or stress is the second most probable reason . 3 Over eating the another reason of such nausea.
