What Could Be The Reason For Sore Throats With Random Red Ear ?

dr. pribil..are you taking new patients now and with community care (wellpoint) there 3 of us and one of us (our son is 41 and completely disabled?) he has sore throats or red ear on occasion. he has his own neurologist handle that part. thank you, Mrs. Seago

I have gone through your query regarding sore throat and redness in ear of your son who is already disabled.

Here I would like to tell you that sore throat is an infection of throat and it's recurrence is usually is due to-

1- Poor oral hygiene.

2- Recurrent cold and sinusitis.

3- Chronic tonsillitis.

4- Diabetes.

Therefore you should take care of your son on above factors and get them examine by your ENT doctor and manage it as to avoid complications.

As for as redness of ear is concern that is not very important because it may appear due to allergy, infection or hyper circulation may be because of hypertension.
