What Could Be The Reason For Sudden Identification Of Tiny Right Paracentral Disc Osteophyte At C5-c6?
I have a tiny right paracentral disc osteophyte identified at c5 c6. I never had a fall etc, I was taking someone out of a stand to sit lift when i felt a pinch in my front right area ( neck to shoulder), with in two weeks I had signs of a hernatied disk so an MRI was done and found the findings of the right paracentral disc ostepphyte. My question is if I never had a fall, car accident etc how could I end up with this. I had no signs before my shoulder/arm strain and rotor cuff injury.
Hi, You have not mentioned your age. If you are elderly then this might be due to degenerative changes occurring in your cervical spines and inter-vertebral disc producing osteophytes and disc lesion. consult orthopedic surgeon and get examined. Physiotherapy will be much helpful. Ok and take care.
