What Could Be The Reason For Swollen, Chapped Lips And Blister Inside Lower Lip Which Burns After Drinking Beer?
For the past 7 days my lips have felt very chapped and burn when I eat and drink certain items, especially wine or beer. I also noticed 2 days ago I now have a blister on the inside of my lower lip, but it has not spread. I have not changed anything such as toothpast, mouthwash skin cremes, body wash, shampoo and such. I have not tried any new foods either. I have been taking Benydrl for the past 2 nights and it seems to be helping but not much. My lips are also swollen and sometimes feel very cold. Any insight would help alot. Warmest Regards, Kathy
Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic, Chapped lips have small fissures in it ( wounds). So naturally when alcohol in any form including beer touches the wounded skin it will burn. The blister however cannot be due to chapping. It could be mucocele. Lower lip is a common site for mucocele. You could search google images for mucocele and compare it with what you are having. If it looks like mucocele kindly consult a dermatologist for treating it. Hope this helped, Take care
