What Could Be The Reason For Swollen Neck For A Person Having Hypothyroidism And How Can It Be Treated ?

hi sir,this is bhargavi.my mum is suffering from swollen neck from about an year.we recognised it now. doctor suggested that there is no problem and had given antioxidants , vitamin tablets. actually she is having hypothyroidism . she had blood test and ultrasonography. but i am not satisfied with his answer.can you suggest me any thing

I would like to know few things here, so that i can help you better:

1.) Has she sustained any Injury to the neck?
2.) You haven't mentioned where on the neck is the swelling exactly?
3.) Is she having Pain?
4.) What do the Blood Test and Ultrasonography report suggest?

You should be taking her to a Surgeon and Orthopedist so that they can examine her and do necessary tests to rule out the exact cause.

It could be a,
1.) Thyroid swelling
2.) Enlarged Lymph Node
3.) Lipoma

All these have to be ruled out.
