The vaginal wall normally produces some secretions to keep the walls lubricated.
However, vaginal itch with milky white discharge indicates fungal (yeast) infection, while watery discharge indicates trichomonal infection. Both conditions are transmitted through sex.
For a COMPLETE cure- depending on the causative organism, BOTH sex partners should SIMULTANEOUSLY take a course of anti-fungal drug (such as
fluconazole) OR anti-protozoal drug, such as
metronidazole or
secnidazole .
