Hi, red bumps at the back of tongue are normal things as taste buds present at the back of tongue look like red bumps. Whitish patches can be because of excessive coating of tongue or candida infection. Both these can give rise to bad breath and bad taste. Please use tongue cleaner gently while brushing. Also use clotrimazole mouth paint for local application in the oral cavity along with the use of hexidine mouth wash. Regards
