What Could Be The Red Circle That Is Protruding Out Of Under Arm?
My daughter is 18 and has a red circle that is protruding out of her underarm. I have psoriasis, so I thought it may be that. I've looked up the different types of psoriasis, because it does not look like mine. I couldn't find one it looks like, it's getting bigger and is a perfect circle. It hurts her.
Hi, I can understand your concern for the red circle that is protruding out of under arm of your daughter. After reading your history I can make out the possibility of Fungal infection of the area: if this causing flaking and maceration of skin along with map like apperance then this is the best possibility.
You can send a picture to my address and can get bet information for the same: bit.ly/drsanjaykanodia Do not pinch, pop or scratch the area. Keep the area dry and wear cotton clothes. Change the clothes two time a day. Do not get exposed to extremes of environment and protect yourself from heat and humidity.
For fugal infection, I suggest you to apply plane anti-fungal cream such as clotrimazole or ketoconazole. Take fluconazole 150 mg alternate days or tablet terbinafine 250 mg daily for 15 days. Do not apply any mixed cream or mixed ointments as it causes further aggravation of the problem.
Take care.
