Glucored Forte is a combination of Glibenclamide and Metformin commonly prescribed in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It improves the blood glucose levels in adults when taken along with proper diet and regular exercise. Generally it is well tolerated by most of our patients however it may cause low blood sugar level (can be adjusted by the dose), abdominal cramps, diarrhea, deficiency of vitamin B12 and a serious condition called lactic acidosis.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
