What Could Be The Side Effect Of Thyronorm 50 Mcg Tablets After Prolonged Usage?
Sir I am 51 year male since I have thyroid problems that is after lipid tests it is found that VLDL is50 and TSH is 7.05 are more so it is suggested to take thyronorm 50 mcg tablet and staurpressXL tablets. So I am on the thyronorm 50 mcg since 4 years and not taking staurpressxl tablets. Is it dangerous or any side effects to take thyronorm 50 mcg tablets contineouly every day so long period. I feel very inconvenience in the throat and feel weekness please reply to me sir. from dadapeer Assist professor
There are no long term side effects of thyronorm. Please understand it like that you have deficient thyroid hormone due to hypofunction of the gland and this drug is replenishing your thyroid pool.
Don't stop it abruptly as thyroid hormone has a key role in all body metabolism.
Get TSH and free T3, T4 checked every 6 months and your physician titrate the dose accordingly.
