What Could Be The Soft Lump In Vaginal Opening For A Person Who Had Hysterectomy Years Ago?

I was bathing this morning and while cleaning myself a felt a soft fleshy lump in my vagina opening. I am 59 and had a complete hysterectomy at the age of 28. At that time they told my that I had a complete abdominal collapse that had caused my uterus to start to pertrude for my vagina. Please advise.

OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
As per the explanation you have given, it appears as though there is a prolapse of either the walls of the vagina or the vault. Since the original cause for your hysterectomy was a prolapse at a young age, this could be a likely recurrence of the same owing to age and loss of tensile muscle and ligament strength. Please see a specialist as soon as possible for a complete evaluation. You may also need evaluation of renal parameters and a sonogram. Please maintain genital hygiene. Hope your query has been answered. Take care.
