What Could Be The The Cause For Weight Loss When Suffering From Graves Disease?
I would like to know if there is any comments about surgery versus non-surgery. May I give you up quick background. My grandson is 30 years old about a year ago he started losing weight he did not see a doctor until September maybe October, his doctor has such a backlog she can't see him now but he does not want to have surgery he is down to 110 pounds minus I'm very concerned can you give me any help. The treatment normally involves reducing the symptoms and reducing the levels of the thyroid hormone.
There are different types of treatment , it could be medical only or surgical.Surgery , however is not the first option of treatment.
He is more likely to be started on different medications , radioactive iodine can also be used.
