What Could Be The Treatment For Pneumonia With High Heart Rate?
Dad just had the worst pneumonia docs have seen in a while, treated at VA in Buffalo, after 6 different antibiotics, steroids finally brought him around. Now his heart rate is high and they are doing ultrasound to check liver enzymes...what are they looking for?

Heart rate goes up with mostly all ailments in the body. Since your dad has just recovered from pneumonia, it`s likely a result of that. It should settle down fast. Liver enzyme study may be a part of follow up or because of something that doctors may have observed.
