ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, white spots over the tonsils are nothing but follicle.
This suggest that the tonsils are chronically infected.
When there is acute infection, that time the tonsils are very painful.
This will be treated with pennicillin antibiotics+anti inflammatory medicines for 5 to 7 days.
If the acute episodes are more than 3 tomes in 6 months then we advised the patient to get tonsils operated and removed.
You can discuss this with your doctor.
Empirically you can take anti inflammatory medicines like paracetamol to receive your throat pain.
Hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
