What Could Be The White Substance Coming Out Of The Cut Wound?

My husband hurt his leg and had a wound, an open cut ..it's taken about a month to heal.But today, he took off the scab,and squeezed his leg,and white substance that was kind of hard...like the fatty part of steak,came out of his leg.what can this substance be??

Hi,
It seems that there might be slough coming out of cut wound.
Clean the part with antiseptic lotion and do dressing with antibiotic cream.
Ok and take care.
