Hello,
You are taking
Prednisone orally, sometimes people with sensitive skin complain of serious
allergic reaction due to prednisone tablets. Since you are losing skin due to blisters you can stop taking prednisone since you have only two pills left. You should inform your treating doctor about the medicines that cause you
allergy. Continuing to take it may cause complications like swelling of face, tongue, throat, troubled breathing, etc.
Take plenty of water, prednisone takes about 24 hours to get eliminated out of your body. After that you will get relieve. Take natural diuretics like cucumbers, parsley, coffee, soups, juice to get most of the medicine flushed out of your system. Apply ointment
Soframycin in the areas that are itchy and causing discomfort.
You can take non-sedating antihistamines, one SOS when required for relieve if you are not allergic to it. To get relief from pain you can take
acetaminophen, one SOS when required after food. In case of troubled breathing or skin discomfort, you should visit ER, for immediate medical support & cleaning or dressing.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
