What Could Calcium Oxalate Crystals In Urine Test Suggest?
Hello,My wife is 32 weeks of pregnancy and she did a urine test today and the results were:Leucocyte esterase Present(+)WBC/HPF 18-20 REF 0-5 RBC/HPF 13-15 REF 0-3 Epithelial Cells/hpf Many ref few Crystals Some calcuim oxalateis it serious?despite she is taking antipotic for this thing for 4 days?

Pus Cells in urine indicate infection,your count of 18-20/hpf is high.,upto 5 pus cells is taken as normal.RBCs 13-15/hpf is also high Normally a few epithelial cells from the bladder or external urethra can be found in the urine sediment however in urinary tract infections/inflammation more epithelial cells are present. Your wife has urinary tract infection.Carry on with the course of antibiotics she will be cured . Some calcuim oxalateis are not serious at all they are generally related to diet but may sometimes be related to stone. Take care!

Calcium oxalate crystals are normally present in urine. Its normal finding. So not clinically significant. Just be relaxed.
