What Could Cause Absence Of Opiates In Drug Test Despite Taking Oxicodone?
I have many pain issues. I m in a pain mgt program. They prescribe oxicodone three times a day. I was forced to take a drug test and the test said i had NO opeits in my system. That is IMPOSSIBLE! I m afraid i wont be able to get my meds because of this error. I have to take the meds. I don t want to. How can a test come out like that when I AM taking the meds three times a day?
Hello, There can be two reasons for it. 1st your urine could be very dilute and hence must try for the first morning urine sample to be tested. 2nd Traditional immunoassay kits may give false negative results and hence you must try the test by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method which is a vey sensitive test but the problem is that it is very expensive. Thanks
